Instructor of Outdoor Education at Marrick Priory Outdoor Education Centre
We need a dynamic, highly motivated person with a passion for working in the outdoors to start in May 2025 or soon after.
Salary £25,396-£28,444pa
Flexible contract options: Full and part time, fixed term and permanent.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established and unique Outdoor Education Centre in Swaledale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The centre runs courses throughout the year for children, young people and adults. It is based in a converted 850 year old medieval priory on the banks of the River Swale.
We run a varied programme; involving canoeing, rock climbing, caving and hillwalking so training or assessment in some of the following NGBs would be desirable.
• BC Paddlesport Leader or UKCC Level 2 Coach
• LMCLA Level 1 Cave Leader• MTA Climbing Wall Instructor/Rock Climbing Instructor
• MTA Summer Mountain Leader
• Archery GB Instructor
In addition, you must also have:
• Current First Aid qualification
• Full clean driving licence (preferably with D1 entitlement)
D1 training and further NGB training is available for the successful applicant.
You should possess excellent communication skills and be enthusiastic and motivated to work with children and young people. You will also need a mature outlook and have a sound understanding of the purpose and benefits of Outdoor Education. These personal qualities are just as significant as specific NGBAwards.
