Your Horizons

Horizons is a quarterly print & digital publication that shares good practice articles written by Outdoor Learning professionals, for Outdoor Learning professionals. Whether you are new, or a veteran member of our community, there’s something for everyone: inspiration for new approaches; reflections on practice; the latest research and news; resource recommendations; guidance for personal and organisation development, plus much more. If you have a story to tell, we take submissions from members for future articles or advertise your products to a highly targeted readership of outdoor professionals.

Specialist Groups
Whether your interest lies in specialist provision of Outdoor Leaning for people with disabilities, alternative provision for those who understand the impact of nature on children, sustainable approaches to outdoor therapy practice or the current best practice in bushcraft skills, our Specialist Groups keep you in touch with the latest developments in your specialised field. In combination with our Regional Groups, IOL membership offers you a network of like-minded outdoor professionals within your local community.
Accreditation
Practitioners looking for nationally recognised accreditation can become Registered, Accredited and Leading Practitioners through IOL membership. Organisations can gain course & resource accreditation and First Aid alignment via our three organisational membership levels as well as list their events, training courses and staff vacancies on the UK's most targeted outdoor sector jobsite. Freelance practitioners can advertise their services via the Find an Outdoor Professional directory.
Transformational
IOL membership is more transformational than transactional. Join a community of thousands of practitioners accross the globe who all use the outdoors to make a positive difference for others. Join them and us in championing Outdoor Learning today.
