Lead Instructor (Seasonal) - Join Us for a Fun-Filled Summer in Dorset!

Hours: 30 - 40 hours per week

  • Taking groups coasteering in stunning venues
  • Rock climbing on coastal limestone cliffs
  • Paddleboarding on serene seas, rivers, and lakes
  • Teaching bushcraft (friction fire lighting, deer butchery, fish and game prep)
  • Guiding Jurassic Coast expeditions

Skills & Qualifications We’re Looking For:

This is a Lead Instructor role, so solid people skills are key. We need someone who’s great at leading groups, solving problems, and motivating others. Plus, being warm, friendly, and up for a challenge will fit right in with our team.

Must-have Qualifications:

  • Paddlesport Leader 
  • Lowland Leader Award (or equivalent)
  • NWSMP and/or Beach Lifeguard NVBLQ and/or SLS Surf Lifeguard
  • Coasteering NCC Guide Award Training
  • Personal Performance Award (SUP/Kayak/Canoe)
  • NCFE Bushcraft Instructor Level 2 / 3 or equivalent
  • RCI Training 
  • DofE Supervisor
  • Outdoor First Aid Level 3
  • At least 1 year of experience in an outdoor instructor role

Nice-to-have (but not essential):

  • SUP Coastal Leader/Coach
  • DofE Assessor
  • Sea Kayak Leader Training / Canoe Leader Training
  • RLSS Beach Lifeguard
  • D1 and CPC
  • RCI Assessment
  • First Aid Trainer / Assessor and/or RLSS Trainer Assessor 
  • Mountain Leader
