The Role:
Located in the heart of the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park, Argoed Lwyd Outdoor Education Centre is a converted 19th century traditional Welsh farmhouse with accommodation for both large and smaller groups.
We specialise in delivering high quality outdoor learning experiences, taking full advantage of our location. We are AALA licensed and approved to deliver a full range of challenging activities, such as mountain walking, rock climbing, caving, gorge walking, as well as navigation training, bushcraft, teambuilding activities and Duke of Edinburgh Award.
Your role will be as a key member of the instructor team, involving instructing, training and teaching customers. You will also be involved in a timetabled Duty Manager role in order to support the outdoor centre management in day-to-day operations whilst observing health and safety principles and processes.
To oversee operational checks and support facilities management and senior instructors in ensuring all H&S equipment checks completed according to schedules agreed by senior management.
You’ll be experienced, enthusiastic and motivated, believing in the value of outdoor learning. You will have a broad experience of delivering high quality outdoor adventurous activities, hold a full driving licence + d1e and a range of national governing body awards suitable to the position.
