As part of Delta, Education Trust, Delta Bespoke’s vision is “Happiness in the pursuit of learning”. This means we really care whether pupils love or hate their learning, so we work hard to create a space where pupils learn together to become knowledgeable, self-aware, independent and happy people who make a positive difference, wherever life takes them.

Are you an enthusiastic individual who can bring this vision to life and make a real difference to children’s lives?

The role:

Your role within Delta Bespoke’s Adventure Learning department will be to run The Quay School’s outdoor education provision. The Quay School provides full time education for young people that are not accessing mainstream schools. It aims to provide personalised learning opportunities in a creative and supportive environment where young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their learning and aim for success.

We are looking for a competent leader who can lead the outdoor education department here at The Quay School. The role will involve leading, planning and developing ‘out-of-the-classroom’ learning within The Quay School using a wide range of outdoor activities. The successful candidate will do learning walks, accountability meetings & track progress of the staff in their team.

About you:

  • A highly motivated and flexible individual who can form positive relationships with students with a wide range of special needs in order to make a difference.
  • We are looking for someone who holds multiple relevant NGB’s (Paddle UK Paddlesport Leader +, RCI, ML, British Cycling MTB Leader etc).
  • Teaching/youth work qualifications would be desirable and experience working with students of this nature.
  • Someone with a particular interest in teaching students with special educational needs, including those with behavioural, emotional and social issues.

About Delta:

Delta Bespoke takes great care to recruit the very best people so that the services we provide are outstanding. We believe that the best work gets done in an environment that’s enjoyable and which values, supports and encourages the development of its employees. With that in mind, we support our staff in achieving relevant outdoor qualifications that they are working towards. The role reflects that of teachers here at the school, meaning paid school holidays in which you can pursue your own adventures. In return, we expect our employees to work hard and be committed to helping us achieve our vision and share our values.

We also offer:

  • A supportive leadership team that values your ideas and ambitions.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and career progression.
  • Generous sick pay and pension scheme
  • The chance to make a genuine impact on children’s lives every single day.

Please contact Jack Galloway (Head of Adventure Learning at Delta Bespoke) at [email protected] for more information and to arrange a tour.

If you are enthusiastic, organised, and ready to be part of a team that truly makes a difference, we’d love to hear from you!

To become part of our journey, please complete our Teacher & Leadership Application Form and return it to [email protected] if you would like to apply. See our Adventure Learning Centre Lead Job Description and Person Specification for further details on the role as well as our TQS-CP-Safeguarding-policy-24-25.
