Building a Midlands Outdoor Learning Network, which offers the membership opportunities to support each other, learn and grow is our aim. Allowing members to share the impacts of what they do, celebrate their successes and also continually develop within their roles.
The English Midlands really needs more committee members to help drive this forward, or offers of help in terms of delivering CPD and/or venues for meetings.
Please get in touch if you would like to support Outdoor Learning in the English Midlands region.
The regional model exists to support its members by offering a more local focus in addition to the national newsletters and events organised by IOL. The region has a committee whose main role is to represent your views and professional development. This takes the form of CPD and outdoor learning related events or through raising issues via the Roundtable, a quarterly meeting of regional and special interest group chairs with the IOL executive. We have recently re launched regional meetings, CPD and Development days, offering those who work within the Outdoor Learning sector further opportunities to develop and network.

The Committee is entirely voluntary, and we are always open to new members. We meet online for the most part but try to get together once or twice a year. If you feel that you can contribute to moving the sector forwards and would like to be part of the committee, we want to hear from you.
