Scottish Canoeing gets funding boost
SCA will invest the monies over the next 12 months as part of its strategy to identify talented young athletes and provide them with the support they need to become the medal winners of the future.
Louise Martin, sportscotland chair, said: “Through this investment, SCA can implement their plans to ensure that many more young Scots are given the opportunity to follow in their footsteps."
Three Scots, David Florence – who won a silver medal – Campbell Walsh and Fiona Pennie, were part of the Team GB canoeing team competing at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
