Tutor staff vacancies 2009 (Seasonal)

SOEC has 4 Centres located in Scotland and is now recruiting for enthusiastic, motivated team members to deliver our educational programmes through a range of outdoor and environmental activities from mid February next year.

Possession of qualifications is important but holding the full range of qualifications is not essential for every member of the team as the ability to relate to our customers, enhance their experience and be able to impart knowledge is just as important.

We would therefore like our Tutor staff to at minimum:

- have the capacity to communicate easily and appropriately with all age groups

- have a strength in one area or skill but prepared to develop in others

- be able to maintain and convey your enthusiasm to participants at all times

- be able to live in a community of staff living and working with a range of people from different backgrounds and with different personalities.

- demonstrate the ability to maintain an even temperament and cope with the occasional poorly motivated customer

The normal working week will be any 5 days out of 7 and will include evening and weekend sessions.  Tutors must be prepared to accept the need for occasional extended hours and periods of work.

Appropriate time off will be given in less demanding periods.

Please contact jobs@soec.org.uk for further details, visit our website www.soec.org.uk and download an application pack, or phone 01899 221115 to request an application pack to be posted to you.

Closing date 19 September 2008

Interview days will be held 2, 3 and 4 October 2008.
