Based at Old Trafford Youth Centre, St Hilda's Road, Old Trafford

Trafford CYPS - Youth Service is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Full Time Youth Worker in the role of ACTIVITY CENTRE MANAGER / OUTDOOR ACTIVITY INSTRUCTOR.

Applicants will have management experience and the skills to lead a team of staff including outdoor instructors and youth workers, also the ability to organize a Centre based youth provision to provide a wide range of challenging and exciting projects including D of E Activities and Expedition Training at Bronze and Silver Level, they will also have extensive experience in providing Outdoor Activity sessions providing positive outcomes for a diverse range of young people.

They should hold, as a minimum, a JNC recognized qualification to NVQ 4, or equivalent. The Mountain Leader Summer Award and preferably hold additional NGB instructor Awards in Rock Climbing, Mountain Biking and Canoesports.
                 
Evening and weekend work will form a substantial part of the post.
                  
The ability to drive minibuses and an experience of towing trailers is desirable.
