Activity Instructor - Girlguiding - £7.68 p/h

Activity Instructor

Girlguiding

Location: Blackland Farm (West Sussex), Foxlease (New Forest, Hampshire) & Waddow Hall (Lancashire)
Salary: £7.68 p/h + Subsidised Accommodation Closing Date: 26th March 2017

Join us this season as an Activity Instructor at one of Girlguiding’s adventure-filled Training and Activity Centres!
As an Activity Instructor, you will be responsible to lead groups of all ages on their adventures at our Centres. Varying from activities on land, across the water and up in the trees, you will experience an exciting and interactive role which differs every day. You will be required to perform the pre-planning of activity sessions, ensuring that health and safety is upheld at all times, that regular maintenance of equipment is undertaken as well as ensuring that everyone achieves their best and has an amazing and fun time whilst doing so. This is a role which escapes the traditional 9 to 5 working day and provides a hands-on, all systems-go role with you at the lead!

If a job full of delivering outdoor adventure sounds like a challenge you’re up for then we’re currently recruiting Activity Instructors for the upcoming season at Blackland Farm (West Sussex), Foxlease (Hampshire) and Waddow Hall (Lancashire)

Additional Requirements:
To have two NGB qualifications, or a recognised equivalent (BCU/UKCC Level 1 Assessed, SPA Assessed or GNAS Leader Award) in either kayaking/open-canoeing/climbing or archery or significant experience that will enable the job holder to gain one or more of these qualifications in the early part of their employment.

To have a first aid qualification and/or current National Pool lifeguard qualification.

Please still apply for this role if you do not hold any qualifications as Girlguiding can provide training to obtain these qualifications!

For insurance purposes applicants must be a minimum of 18 years old.

While Girlguiding’s young members may be female only, our staff team is mixed gender. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and we do not discriminate on the basis of sex, marital status, gender identity, religious beliefs, colour, race, ethnic origins, sexual orientation, age, physical or mental disability or spent criminal convictions.

Apply at https://www.girlguiding.org.uk/about-us/jobs-at-girlguiding/seasonal-vacancies/ by completing the application and diversity forms and emailing them to hrvacancies@girlguiding.org.uk.

The service and communication from the IOL team has been excellent on every occasion and adverts are online within 24 hours.
